Here’s another post about an old tutorial video. I’ll do one of these each week to document all my videos on the website eventually, and to share with people who may not have seen them! We’re less than a month away from the Game of Thrones season 5 premiere, so I wanted to revive this braided bun hair tutorial for Arya way back in season 1! It’s what she wears to her swordsmanship lessons with Syrio Forel when she and the Stark household are still living in King’s Landing. It’s a special style because it’s one of the last long hair styles we see on Arya before all her hair is cut off. This is easy and comfortable enough to do quickly in the morning and wear all day, but is still interesting because of the braid tails hanging free on either side of the bun. Watch the video to learn it!

Materials needed: one large hair tie, two small hair elastics, bobby pins

Time cost: 5-15 minutes

1) Put your hair into a medium high ponytail.

2) Divide the ponytail into two halves and braid both of these halves to the ends, securing each with a small elastic.

3) Wrap the braids in opposite directions around the base of the ponytail, pinning as you go. Continue wrapping around the forming braid bun until you reach the ends, and which point you should tuck them under the bun and pin securely.

Voila, Arya’s water dancing bun!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If you replicate this, I’d love to see it, so go ahead and post it on Facebook or Instagram and tag me. Or, share this post on Pinterest and Tumblr so that your friends can learn it and do it to you! Finally, if you miss seeing Arya hair, keep a look out in the next few weeks, because I will post another tutorial soon of her new Braavos braids as featured in season 5 ๐Ÿ˜‰ see you then!
